St Monica's Netball Club Moonee Ponds
St Monica’s Netball Club is a non-for-profit committee run club based in Moonee Ponds, Victoria, Australia. The club was founded by passionate parents of aspiring netball players in the year 2000 and is proud of its long standing affiliation with St Monica’s Parish Primary School, Moonee Ponds.
St Monica’s Netball Club (SMNC) aspires to be the organisation all aspiring netballers want to join and never want to leave. We aim to set the benchmark for fun, inclusion, community and sporting excellence.
We aim to position ourselves as the first choice for parents in the Moonee Valley region considering extracurricular activities for their daughters and sons. We aim to be a simple, affordable and easy option for families, providing a team-first pathway from childhood through to adulthood.
Our club can field teams from the age of seven to Open age sections of the competition. We also run a Woolworths NetSetGO program for children aged five to 10.
Our players train at St Monica’s Parish Primary School in Moonee Ponds, Victoria. We have 14 teams registered in the 2024 Essendon District Netball Association (EDNA) Winter / Spring season, played at the Riverside Courts Complex in Ascot Vale, Victoria.

15 & Under: Giants, Lynx, Chargers
17 & Under / Open: Jets, Astros
Team Officials
Each team has a Coach which can be club appointed or a volunteer parent or older sibling and each team is required to have a Team Manager who arrange training and team correspondence. Training nights are held one night per week at St Monica’s Primary School in Moonee Ponds. This is determined on the coaches availability.
Registrations
St Monica's Netball Club fields teams and offers programs for players aged five and up. Beginners may like to explore our NetSetGo program run throughout Term 3 each year. Registrations for joining a competitive team open during February for the winter season and August for the spring season. Expressions of interest can be directed to stmonicasnetballclub@gmail.com
